The new Sonoma Valley Authors Festival will make its debut the weekend of May 4 – 6, 2018 at The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa.

Conveniently located less than ¼ mile from the town of Sonoma’s historic Plaza, The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa will allow attendees easy access to the Plaza with its many shops and restaurants, the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, Mission San Francisco Solano the 21st and northernmost mission which was founded in 1823, and many tasting rooms featuring exceptional local wineries.

During the weekend, Main Stage presentations will take place in the stunning Stone Building and Stone Building Lawn, which will be tented for the Festival.  Break out sessions will take place in comfortable and well-lighted meeting rooms throughout the resort.  There will be an Information & Hospitality Center for all attendees and a Hospitality Room for all Founding Sponsors & Donors.  Outdoor patios off certain meeting rooms welcome guests as a place to gather, meet new friends and enjoy a short break.  Guests may also enjoy taking a break at the resort’s Bean & Bottle or around the pool.

In the center of all the activity, there will be the Festival Book Store hosted by Book Passage, an independent world-renowned community bookstore, for book sales and signings.

At the conclusion of the first half-day, there will be a casual “Sonoma Style” Welcome Reception for all Pass Holders.  Local wines will be featured along with passed hors-d’oeuvres.  Over the course of the next two days, Pass Holders will enjoy complimentary coffee, soft drinks, water, fresh fruit, snacks and treats during the day.  For lunch on Saturday and Sunday, Pass Holders will have a choice of boxed picnic lunches.

Saturday evening, there will be a special dinner with the authors for all Founding Sponsors and Donors.

Exceptional wine, food, and hospitality will be provided to ensure that each guest’s experience is memorable.  Audio visual, comfortable chairs and lighting support will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our guests.  Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available for all Festival attendees in the Lobby, the resort’s public areas and all of the meeting rooms.  An ATM is conveniently located off the main Lobby.  If you’re planning to make The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa your “home away from home” for the weekend, check out the resort’s spa, which is considered one of the best in wine country.
