SUMMARY:The Summer of Love: An Art and Music Experience
DESCRIPTION:This year marks 50 years since the Summer of ‘67\, and Italian Street Painting Marin is excited to celebrate this far-out occasion through the captivating art of street painting and music June 24-25 with Summer of Love: An Art & Music Experience! \nOver 100 renowned Madonnari (street painters) from the United States\, Canada and Mexico will come together over art –  transforming the streets into an awe-inspiring quilt of talent\, color\, and local history. \nJourneying back to the era of peace and love\, much of this year’s artwork will pay homage to the Summer of Love theme and focus on the cultural revolution that started in the San Francisco Bay Area\, changing art\, music\, and the direction of the country forever. \nLending even more of a psychedelic-flair to the event\, attendees will have the chance to meet legendary artist Stanley Mouse and view an exhibition of his iconic Rock and Roll posters. \nTo get attendees groovin’\, top musical hits from the era will be performed Saturday and Sunday on the main stage by tribute band\, Aquarius\, along with many notable and musically diverse local performers. \nThe inspiring artwork created by the winners of EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases’ Rare Artist contest will be on display in the Rare Artist Gallery. \nBring the Kids! \nThe youngest of art fans\, aged 2-12 will enjoy “Flower” Children’s Avenue where they can design their own 2’ x 2’ street painting\, and receive a box of chalk pastels to take home. (Fee $10.) \nAll of those young at heart will enjoy beloved beagle\, Snoopy\, who will be onsite to mingle and take photos. \n\nItalian Street Painting Marin is dedicated to showcasing the fine art of street painting and supports quality arts-based programs and experiences for under-served students.\n\nItalian Street Painting Marin is a program of EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases\, a 501c3 nonprofit. EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases\, a national organization headquartered in Marin County\, California\, is dedicated to accelerating biotech innovation for rare disease treatments through science-driven public policy. The Foundation believes that bridging science and the arts enhances health\, inspires hope\, and changes lives.

SUMMARY:Animalia Musicale: A Chorus of Critters
DESCRIPTION:This special exhibit features 75 images of both wild and domestic animals – from foxes to birds\, bears to bunnies\, dogs to cats and more – many of which are painted on musical score sheets by Marin County artist Leslie Lakes. These images tickle the senses and engage the viewer with a sense of play\, joy\, humor and a touch of whimsy. The exhibit celebrates the musical theme of the venue and adds another dimension to a concert evening.
